About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will work on the hardware team to build and refine robotic solutions for the construction industry. You will contribute to the design, testing, and manufacturing of systems that automate construction services. This role is based in our lab in Houston, where you will collaborate directly with the team to support the development and commissioning of our robot fleet.
What you'll do#
- Create power, communication, and control PCBAs.
- Use Altium to design circuits, schematics, and board layouts for new prototypes and products.
- Develop firmware to power and control complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Build, evaluate, and test hardware solutions to meet customer needs.
- Conduct simulations, run tests, and analyze data from measuring equipment to inform engineering decisions.
- Collaborate with global vendors to refine designs and meet project timelines.
- Support the assembly and commissioning of our robots.
What you'll need#
- Experience with electro-mechanical or electrical systems gained through internships, lab research, or projects.
- Hands-on experience prototyping, building, and debugging electrical systems to identify root causes.
- Enthusiasm for learning new techniques and technologies.
- A focus on creating reliable products that meet high standards.
