About the role#
The MMIC Design Intern joins our High Performance Analog business group. You will gain hands-on experience in semiconductor design, working on projects that support our defense and aerospace product lines. This role involves direct collaboration with our engineering teams to solve technical challenges in a production environment.
What you'll do#
- Design Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) using GaAs and GaN technologies.
- Develop and test various circuits, including Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers, and Switches.
- Work alongside technicians to perform necessary measurements and validate designs.
- Write scripts within simulation environments to improve design automation.
- Consider factors like size, cost, and footprint while meeting performance requirements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Coursework or experience in RF/microwave and analog integrated-circuit design.
- Familiarity with RF measurement equipment, such as network analyzers and signal generators.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance, which requires US citizenship.
- Proficiency in software like Keysight ADS or similar simulation tools.
