About the role#
Qorvo is seeking a Process Development Engineering Intern to work at our manufacturing facility in Bend, Oregon. You will join a team focused on the production of BAW filter devices, technology development, and research. This role involves working directly with technicians, operators, and senior engineers to improve manufacturing processes.
What you'll do#
- Extract and analyze data using Databricks, Spotfire, or Excel.
- Design and execute Design of Experiments (DOEs) to evaluate process capabilities.
- Troubleshoot fabrication processes and optimize equipment recipes for physical vapor deposition (PVD).
- Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to monitor manufacturing limits and reduce variation.
- Create and update manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collect and log process data using various metrology tools.
- Compile project results and present your findings to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS or MS program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- A basic understanding of common semiconductor processing technologies.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively within a team.
- Availability to work on-site for 9 months.
