About the role#
As an IC Layout Engineering Intern, you will work within the High Performance Analog business group. You will gain hands-on experience in physical implementation and verification for semiconductor projects. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Richardson, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Complete physical implementation of RF, analog, and mixed signal circuit blocks.
- Perform layout edits using Cadence Virtuoso and other industry standard EDA tools.
- Execute basic verification checks including DRC, LVS, and ERC.
- Support block level floor planning and device placement activities.
- Handle tapeout activities, including the generation of GDS files and documentation packages.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent academic standing.
- A basic understanding of semiconductor devices and integrated circuits.
- Familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso or similar IC design tools.
- An understanding of layout verification concepts like DRC and LVS.
