About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship within the High Performance Analog business group. You will gain hands-on experience by working on mechanical design tasks for the Defense & Aerospace product lines. This role is on-site in Richardson, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Design electronics packaging components.
- Create 3D models of product assemblies.
- Source and procure custom hardware.
- Run thermal FEA modeling to identify and mitigate performance risks.
- Perform structural FEA modeling to quantify component stresses during assembly.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS or MS program for Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- 3D CAD experience, specifically with SolidWorks.
- Coursework in heat and mass transfer, statics, and mechanics of materials.
- Experience with FEA or CFD modeling.
