About the role#
As an Audit Intern, you will join our Assurance practice in Portland for the Winter 2028 term. This full-time, paid position focuses on gaining hands-on experience with financial statement audits. You will work alongside experienced professionals to learn our methodologies and contribute to audit engagements. This role is designed to build a foundation for your career in accounting.
What you'll do#
- Support audit teams during financial statement audits to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Review and verify financial documents for accuracy.
- Apply auditing methodologies to evaluate financial information.
- Observe and learn from experienced auditors to understand audit processes.
- Assist in the application of accounting and financial reporting standards.
- Conduct basic research and complete assigned tasks to support the team.
- Collaborate with team members to learn about client management.
- Develop a foundational understanding of internal controls.
- Use active listening to gather and interpret information during client engagements.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- A minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
- Progress toward meeting the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam before starting a full-time role.
- Status as a student in the third year of a four-year program or fourth year of a five-year program.
