About the role#
As an Audit Intern, you will join our Assurance practice to support financial statement audits. You will work alongside experienced auditors to gain exposure to professional methodologies and client service. This role provides a foundation for your career in audit by allowing you to observe and participate in real-world financial reporting and compliance tasks.
What you'll do#
- Support audit teams during financial statement audits.
- Review and verify financial documents to help maintain transparency and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends.
- Document audit processes and findings to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
- Collaborate with your team to monitor financial trends and assess risk factors.
- Contribute to the evaluation of internal controls.
- Use data analysis skills to assist the audit process.
- Observe and learn from experienced professionals to build your understanding of audit practices and client interactions.
What you'll need#
- A current pursuit or completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- An overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- You must meet the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment before starting a full-time role.
- Applicants are typically in the third year of a four-year degree program or the fourth year of a five-year program.
