About the role#
The iPROOF Bioeconomy Development Intern will support the iPROOF project team during its build and commissioning phase. You will report directly to the iPROOF General Manager and gain a view of how a new venture is brought to life. This role involves both technical contributions and exposure to business development activities.
What you'll do#
- Assist in equipment qualification to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various processes.
- Help develop Process Control Descriptions and Narratives.
- Support daily construction activities.
- Assist with business development tasks under the guidance of the Business Development Director.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an active biotechnology-related degree program.
- Understanding of precision or industrial fermentation and common downstream processing unit operations.
- Strong skills in math, science, and computer applications.
- Ability to work in a project-based environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Decatur, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $21.00 per hour plus overtime.
- Housing: A stipend of $1,500 to $3,000 is available based on candidate location and work requirements.
