About the role#
This internship offers experience in the oversight of a food manufacturing facility's food safety and quality management system. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain a comprehensive understanding of the regulations and processes required to maintain high standards in food production.
What you'll do#
- Support management in the implementation of the site's Food Safety and Food Defense Plans.
- Participate in third party and customer audits to gain exposure to the audit process.
- Perform food safety and quality inspections on-site.
- Develop training tools to help operations personnel understand and implement food safety principles.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Food Science (preferred) or a physical science such as Chemistry or Biology.
- Ability to work effectively in an industrial environment.
- A safety-minded approach and a willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

- Compensation: $23.00 per hour plus overtime.
- Housing: A stipend ranging from $1,500 to $3,000 is provided based on work and candidate location.
