About the role#
As a Systems Engineering Intern at Pratt & Whitney, you will work within Strategic Defense Solutions on mission-critical communication systems. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to solve complex technical problems and support the delivery of solutions that address customer and mission needs. This role provides an opportunity to develop your skills in systems engineering while working on military platforms.
What you'll do#
- Perform as part of a cross-functional agile team.
- Create, decompose, and trace requirements for communications systems on air and ground military platforms.
- Use model-based systems engineering applications to build logical and physical design diagrams.
- Carry out integration and testing for communications solutions.
- Support future bids and proposals to identify new business opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a degree in a STEM field, including Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience in systems engineering, specifically with capturing customer requirements or operations concept development.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools such as Magic Draw Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or similar SysML resources.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- An active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance.
