About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to join the Missile Defense Sensors department for the Summer 2027 term. This role is based in Woburn, Massachusetts, and requires on-site attendance. You will contribute to the development, analysis, and testing of radar systems used in missile defense.
What you'll do#
- Analyze radar system performance data to ensure it meets established requirements.
- Identify performance gaps and develop potential solutions.
- Define and create prototypes for new algorithms to improve system performance.
- Present designs, plans, and performance data to peers, leadership, and customers.
- Provide technical expertise to agile software development teams to guide requirement implementation.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace Engineering.
- You must have completed at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience working with Matlab, C/C++, Java, or DOORS is required. This may come from coursework, research, or projects.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain the necessary security clearance.
