About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Corning, New York. You will assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical infrastructure and process equipment. This position requires on-site work and does not offer immigration sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot infrastructure equipment, systems, and processes to maintain power.
- Perform component-level troubleshooting.
- Document repairs and equipment changes in coordination with the Quality and Engineering teams.
- Identify critical spare parts to reduce potential downtime.
- Participate in electrical and mechanical shutdowns and required PPA procedures.
- Work alongside union trades and subcontractors across various levels of the organization.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited BSEE or BSEET program, entering your Junior or Senior year.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Experience with oscilloscopes and volt/ammeters.
- Ability to use AutoCAD for updating electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency with electrical test meters, schematics, and PCs for troubleshooting.
- Coursework or knowledge in Power Engineering.
- Availability for a 10-week period from May to August 2027.
