About the role#
Ameriprise Financial is hiring a Technology Intern for a 10-week summer program in 2027. You will join a dedicated technology team to gain hands-on experience with internal tools and applications. Throughout the summer, you will collaborate with experienced professionals and connect with other interns to build your professional network. At the end of the program, you will present your accomplishments to the technology leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Define business requirements for projects.
- Develop, document, test, and modify new or existing code.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement or automation.
- Participate in Agile team ceremonies.
- Learn and apply standard procedures to the software development life cycle.
- Develop a working knowledge of company systems, data, and vendor tools.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior status at a 4-year university.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, or Information Technology Infrastructure.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with others.
- Strong organizational skills and time management.
- Applicants must have valid work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship.

- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Modality: Hybrid, with at least four days per week in the office.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
