About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Birmingham, Alabama. You will work alongside project teams to build software solutions and see your code move into production. This role requires you to work on-site.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with senior developers to build and implement technical solutions.
- Participate in peer code reviews and unit testing.
- Help with document design and creation.
- Support the deployment pipeline, triage issues, and solve problems as they arise.
- Take part in SAFe Agile ceremonies and attend status meetings to update project managers.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Linux shell, and Windows scripting.
- Experience with software development languages, specifically Java.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, with a preference for Google Cloud.
- Understanding of DevSecOps processes and tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
