About the role#
This is a Software Engineering internship position for Summer 2027 at Pratt & Whitney. This role is specifically for returning RTX interns. You will work on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to support our avionics and engineering teams. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist in engineering processes, including verification and qualification procedures.
- Create, compile, and consolidate testing on diagnostic systems that use logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conduct research on equipment design phases to develop design options and recommendations.
- Learn and apply hardware and software standards to ensure all work meets organizational business objectives.
What you'll need#
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- Must be actively enrolled in your degree program through the completion of the internship.
- Prior RTX internship experience is required.
- Experience with C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Simulink, or Perl.
- Ability to communicate across teams and platforms to collaborate on project goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
