About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Software Engineering Internship for Summer 2027 based in Aurora, Colorado. You will work on-site to support satellite ground systems within the aviation and aerospace component manufacturing sector.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software for satellite ground systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.
- Work with multi-tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice software design.
- Practice DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
- Engage with satellite technologies including command and telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, and spacecraft operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Previous experience as an intern at Raytheon.
- Proficiency in object-oriented software development using C++ or Java.
- Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
