About the role#
This Software Engineering Internship is part of the Raytheon Fellowship Program for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in State College, Pennsylvania, as part of a development team. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Perform software development, integration, testing, and documentation tasks.
- Integrate various applications to ensure they meet performance and stability standards.
- Write software to connect components and support testing activities.
- Follow development standards, including writing unit tests for high code coverage.
- Participate in code peer reviews and design reviews.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or higher degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum status of Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Post Grad by summer 2027.
- Experience with Java development in a Unix or Linux environment.
- Familiarity with agile development practices and version control systems like GIT.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required for this clearance.
