About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based in Woburn, Massachusetts, and requires the intern to work on-site. You will join the Missile Defense Sensors Software Department to support Radar and Command and Control programs. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and release software products for Radar or C2 programs.
- Participate in the requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time application software and tools.
- Contribute to the development of new work products or the enhancement of existing systems.
- Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
- Follow established development practices to maintain configuration management of software products.
- Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an applicable discipline.
- Experience developing software with C, C++, Java, or Ada.
- U.S. citizenship is required to be eligible for a security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance prior to the start date.
