About the role#
This Reliability and Safety Engineering Co-Op position is a full-time, paid opportunity based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We are looking for students to join us for the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. You will work on-site, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure the safety and reliability of our aviation products.
What you'll do#
- Perform reliability and maintainability modeling, predictions, and testing.
- Conduct FMEA/FMECA and FRACAS activities.
- Execute testability analysis and built-in-test demonstrations.
- Support the civil safety assessment process (ARP4761) or military assessments (MIL-STD-882E).
- Assist in defining system safety requirements for hardware, software, and systems.
- Participate in peer reviews and receive mentorship from senior engineers.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Computer Engineering or a related STEM field.
- Must remain actively enrolled through the end of the co-op session.
- Experience in systems, hardware, or software development gained through projects, coursework, research, or previous work.
- Ability to present technical information to peers, management, and customers.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
- Prior internship or co-op experience with the company is preferred.
