About the role#
As a Methods Intern in Hot Section Engineering, you will help improve engineering efficiency and workflow. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship based on-site in East Hartford, Connecticut. You will work with various engineering teams to create tools and processes that support module and component development.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement software and process solutions to improve engineering efficiency.
- Collaborate with design, structures, durability, and project engineering teams to optimize task execution.
- Create tools and processes to support hot section module and component development.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze current engineering processes to identify opportunities for automation, standardization, or better data accessibility.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Experience with at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, C++, or C#.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
