About the role#
GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy is seeking a Sourcing Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This internship provides an opportunity to gain experience within the nuclear power industry while supporting our sourcing operations in Wilmington, North Carolina. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Work to achieve the lowest possible cost for materials, balancing these costs against quality and schedule requirements.
- Solicit and evaluate proposals using negotiation, cost, and price analysis techniques.
- Implement purchase contracts that follow company and government regulations.
- Evaluate both current and anticipated material requirements for the business.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.
- Willingness to work on-site in Wilmington, NC.
