About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Tucson, Arizona. You will work within the Advanced Airframes department to support development programs and solve engineering problems.
What you'll do#
- Design structures, assemblies, and mechanisms.
- Perform detailed design and drafting work following ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Support the procurement and testing of development hardware.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate across functional teams to advance designs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of your freshman year by the start of Summer 2027.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
