About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Mechanical Engineering internship based in McKinney, Texas, for the Summer 2027 term. You will join the Airborne RF Sensor Design team to assist with the mechanical design process. This role requires you to work on-site. Please note that this position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level DoD security clearance.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot, test, and solve problems with hardware.
- Create or modify technical drawings.
- Suggest design modifications.
- Analyze products to determine cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines to support factory and program requirements.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program for Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field.
- Experience with CAD software, specifically SolidWorks, Creo, or Fusion 360.
- Familiarity with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards.
- Ability to remain enrolled through the completion of the internship.
