About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Mechanical Engineering internship based in Tucson, Arizona, for the Summer 2027 term. You will join the Tactical Radars & Land Based Effectors Department to support the development, production, and deployment of defense hardware. This role requires an active and transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance by your start date. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain this clearance.
What you'll do#
- Apply mechanical engineering fundamentals to solve design problems.
- Create and update technical documentation packages.
- Use CAD software to complete drawing designs and support engineering projects.
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams.
- Support manufacturing and production efforts.
- Follow established hardware design processes and utilize internal tools.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field.
- Experience with CREO.
- Proficiency in CAD software, gained through coursework, projects, research, or previous work.
- Ability to work on-site in Tucson, Arizona.
