About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will join the team at Pratt & Whitney to support the design, development, and testing of electronic equipment and integration kits for military aircraft. You will work alongside systems, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to ensure projects meet requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Apply research to the planning, design, and testing of mechanical and electromechanical systems.
- Produce models for components, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies.
- Execute tests for systems, subsystems, and components.
- Analyze test results against design specifications and project objectives.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to document development and test data.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Active enrollment in your degree program through the end of the internship.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
