About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Mechanical Engineering internship for the Summer 2027 term. The position is based on-site in Huntsville, Alabama. Candidates must hold U.S. citizenship and possess or be able to obtain an interim Secret level security clearance prior to the start date.
What you'll do#
- Perform detailed design and drafting work in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Design structures, assemblies, and various mechanisms.
- Coordinate across functional teams to mature designs.
- Support the procurement and testing of development hardware.
- Manage suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist with factory hardware issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Advanced degree program for Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, or deliverables.
- Preferred experience includes work with GD&T, Creo modeling, and Windchill configuration management.
