About the role#
This internship program provides hands-on experience in mechanical engineering at our Plymouth, MI automation facility. You will work alongside experienced engineers to design, build, and debug custom robotic work cells and industrial automation systems. The program includes an Immersion Day at our Cleveland, OH headquarters, with all travel expenses covered by the company.
What you'll do#
- Develop custom manufacturing equipment tailored to specific customer requirements.
- Design and implement automated systems for customer applications.
- Engineer robotic solutions to optimize internal manufacturing processes.
- Conduct engineering analysis on mechanical designs to validate performance, identify improvements, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or achieved a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technology field.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with OSHA, SDS, and ANSI (RIA) safety standards.
- Eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
