About the role#
Lincoln Electric is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Co-op for our automation facility in Plymouth, Michigan. This program connects your academic studies with hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing and automation. You will work on projects alongside mentors, participate in professional development workshops, and gain exposure to leadership. This position includes a required Immersion Day at our headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, with all travel expenses covered.
What you'll do#
- Develop custom manufacturing equipment based on specific customer requirements.
- Assist in the conceptualization, design, development, and testing of mechanical components and machinery.
- Design and implement automated systems for customer applications.
- Engineer robotic solutions to optimize internal manufacturing processes.
- Conduct engineering analysis on mechanical designs to validate performance.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or completed a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technology field.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January 12th to April 16th, 2027).
