About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Mechanical Engineering internship at CAE in Arlington, Texas. You will work on projects related to flight simulator design and development. This role is project-oriented and requires you to work on-site. You will assist with small to medium scale programs while applying engineering design methods and CAD tools to solve technical problems.
What you'll do#
- Perform product development tasks, including parametric CAD modeling and drawing creation.
- Resolve technical issues and provide support to manufacturing and suppliers.
- Participate in the installation and final sell-off of training devices.
- Coordinate and review technical deliverables before they are submitted to customers.
- Conduct independent studies and analysis.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- You have a solid grasp of fundamental mechanical engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
- You are a U.S. citizen, as required by government contracts.
- You must be eligible to obtain a DoD Personal Security Clearance.
- Strong communication skills and a logical approach to problem-solving are essential.

- Physical requirements: You must be able to sit or stand for long periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds. The role involves working in both an office and a manufacturing environment. You may be required to work overtime, off-shifts, and travel within the continental United States.
