About the role#
The Air Defense Ground Equipment Mechanical Design Department handles the design, development, and integration of defense platform systems. This includes radar and communications shelters, electronic subsystems, launchers, and hardware integration. You will work on-site in either Tewksbury or Andover, Massachusetts, during the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Learn and apply internal tools, including CREO and PDM.
- Support design and documentation efforts using engineering tools, Adobe, and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Manage component and assembly modeling, documentation, design changes, and release processes.
- Assist with engineering change and drawing release tasks.
- Contribute to design and development projects involving mechanical systems, thermal systems, materials, test equipment, or manufacturing processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree program in Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience with CAD software such as CREO, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
