About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is looking for an intern to support our Model-based Definition (MBD) and Computer-aided Design (CAD) practices. You will help update and implement current design methods, documentation, and validation processes to ensure our engineering workflows remain current. This role involves project management tasks alongside technical analysis and communication.
What you'll do#
- Review and update existing CAD methodologies using CATIA and other CAx tools.
- Research and document new processes and procedures.
- Organize and facilitate CATIA training sessions.
- Review and update training materials.
- Conduct data exchange audits by reviewing transfer logs.
- Provide general CAD and collaboration assistance as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian university throughout the internship.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Ability to work on-site in Mississauga.
- Background or interest in Engineering or Operations.
- Experience in 3D modeling.
- Knowledge of CATIA V5 or similar software is a strong asset.
- Understanding of MBD or PLM principles.
- Strong analytical thinking, resourcefulness, and a collaborative team mindset.
Location & details#
- Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 5th to April 23rd, 2027).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday.
- Compensation: Paid internship.
- Note: Employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and obtaining required clearances for handling controlled goods.
