About the role#
This internship provides exposure to aviation manufacturing through assignments in disciplines like part manufacturing, assembly, coating, welding, forging, and machining. You will work on data collection and improvement projects while handling daily tasks. At the end of the term, you will present your findings to management and executives.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate operations and identify improvement opportunities using data analysis.
- Review and analyze work cell layouts and process flows.
- Conduct labor and machine capacity analysis.
- Maintain and update time standards for established operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Academic background in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Experience with data mining and manipulation using Excel, VBA, and SQL.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
