About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring an Electrical Engineer Co-op to join the Test Solutions Engineering team. This role focuses on developing electrical solutions for aerospace systems. You will work on-site in Tucson, Arizona, contributing to the full product lifecycle from engineering labs to field operations.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and integrate test products for complex systems.
- Create test interface adapters, cabling, schematics, and detailed circuit designs.
- Develop engineering and production test systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during development and implementation.
- Use equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and power meters for validation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet performance goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
- Knowledge of electrical components including resistors, capacitors, and transistors.
- Experience with test and measurement equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required, with the ability to obtain an interim clearance.
- Experience with circuit design and analysis for analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB for simulation and automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Experience with technical writing and delivering formal presentations.
