About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern in Pasadena, you will support the Avionics R&D team. You will work with mentors to apply engineering concepts to real challenges and grow your technical skills. This is a full-time, on-site role for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with hardware bring-up and prototype assembly.
- Perform laboratory testing and embedded firmware validation.
- Collect and analyze data.
- Troubleshoot motor control systems.
- Provide regular progress updates to supervisors.
- Participate in tech talks and networking events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate program in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- At least 3 months of applied engineering experience.
- Ability to lead development projects independently and collaborate across teams.
Preferred qualifications include:
- A GPA of 3.5 or above.
- 6+ months of applied engineering experience.
- Experience with FPGA and microcontroller design.
- Proficiency in SPICE and Excel for circuit analysis.
- Familiarity with electronics test equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and soldering irons.

- Location: Pasadena, California.
- Term: Summer 2027 (minimum 12 consecutive weeks starting May or June).
- Compensation: $28.00 per hour.
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time.
