About the role#
As a Design Engineering Intern with the Commercial Aviation Seating & Furniture Group, you will contribute to real-world engineering solutions for our customers. This position offers the chance to develop professional skills and gain experience in the commercial aviation industry. You will work on-site during the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Lead an engineering project from initial problem identification through to deployment.
- Assist in research, root-cause analysis, corrective action development, prototyping, and documentation.
- Use engineering tools to solve technical problems.
- Design components in CAD to meet aerospace certification standards.
- Write technical documentation for modifications to certified aircraft products.
- Present your work to a management-level audience.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Design Engineering or a related STEM major.
- Current enrollment in your degree program through the end of the internship.
- Experience with CAD and parametric solid modeling.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- U.S. citizenship is required to access necessary systems.
