About the role#
This position supports the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) program. You will work under the supervision of teachers to assist with student instruction, behavior management, and daily classroom support. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Reinforce instruction for individual students and small groups.
- Prepare instructional materials, art projects, and bulletin boards.
- Provide clerical support by grading papers, collecting forms, and maintaining records.
- Supervise students during meals, special programs, field trips, and bus loading.
- Use technology to assist with assigned tasks and enhance instruction.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- At least 60 college credit hours, an Associate degree, or a passing score on the Para Pro exam.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Strong communication skills to work with students, staff, and parents.
- Preference is given to candidates who are bilingual or biliterate.
- Interest in working with exceptional children.

- Location: Davenport, Florida.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Physical requirements include sitting for most of the day, with the ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds frequently and 40 pounds or more occasionally.
