About the role#
This position supports the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) program. You will work under the direction of teachers and supervisors to assist with student instruction, behavior management, and daily educational support. The role involves working directly with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a productive learning environment.
What you'll do#
- Reinforce lessons for individual students and small groups.
- Help prepare instructional materials, art projects, and bulletin boards.
- Handle clerical tasks such as grading papers, filing, taking attendance, and updating student folders.
- Supervise students during meals, field trips, bus loading, and other school activities.
- Coordinate volunteer projects and assist with classroom technology.
- Maintain records, including medication logs, and assist with testing.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- At least 60 college credit hours, an Associate degree or higher, or a passing score on the Para Pro exam.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions clearly.
- Professional communication skills for working with students, staff, and parents.
- Bilingual or biliterate skills are preferred.
- Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds frequently and 40 pounds occasionally.

- Location: Bartow, Florida.
- This is a full-time, on-site position.
- The role is paid and follows a rolling term.
