About the role#
This 10-week summer internship program provides exposure to the Tax Credit Solutions line of business within the Corporate & Institutional Banking division. Interns explore the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit equity and debt programs for affordable housing, alongside Historic Tax Credits, New Market Tax Credits, and the Preservation product. The program serves as a pipeline for the Corporate & Institutional Banking Development Program, offering opportunities for professional development and visibility with senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations related to underwriting, including portfolio administration, periodic reviews, loan offerings, loan documentation, and prescreening.
- Assist with sales functions such as pre-call planning, client research, pitchbook creation, relationship reviews, and follow-up.
- Work directly with the Relationship Team and senior management to gain insight into the deal-making process.
- Participate in social learning, including networking, mentoring, job shadowing, and community outreach.
- Perform core group activities under supervision with potential for limited approval authority.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program with junior status.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Preferred majors include Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Computer Science, Business Administration, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Ability to demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role.
- Strong competencies in analytical thinking, communication, accuracy, and self-directed growth.
