About the role#
As a Technical Intern for Midstream Instrumentation & Electrical, you will gain hands-on experience by working on projects alongside experienced professionals. You will receive coaching from a manager and an assigned mentor while participating in orientation events, field trips, and weekly seminars. The program includes a final presentation on your work and findings.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support for new equipment installations.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and rotating equipment.
- Learn company safety requirements, technical tools, and standard procedures.
- Participate in technical networks and on-the-job training.
- Network with other interns and interact with functional leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an undergraduate program.
- Pursuing an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Technology, Electrical Technology, or an equivalent technical program.
- Graduation date in Summer 2027 or later.
- Availability for a minimum of 11 continuous weeks.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing up to 50 feet, lifting 45 pounds, and working in harsh weather conditions.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators which require being clean-shaven.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time, work overtime, and respond to emergency calls.
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card.

- Compensation: $24.94 to $28.50 per hour, based on education level.
