About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is looking for an Antenna Electrical Design Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in McKinney, Texas. You will work within a larger team at Raytheon to support the design, test, and manufacture of advanced electrical subsystems for use in complex environments. This role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
What you'll do#
- Perform passive circuit design, including work on transitions, manifolds, filters, and radiators.
- Use Ansys HFSS to simulate RF structures.
- Contribute to RFCCA design projects.
- Assist in the design of phased array systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or advanced degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or Computer Science.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience with passive circuit design and EM modeling.
- Knowledge of antenna engineering principles, specifically phased array theory.
- Ability to follow structured design processes and apply root-cause problem solving.
