About the role#
Advanced Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineering intern for the Fall 2026 term. You will join an engineering team in Fort Collins, Colorado, to support the development of precision power conversion and control solutions. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
What you'll do#
- Work as an active participant in a core team to meet schedule and cost goals.
- Assist in the development, testing, and debugging of prototype power supply units.
- Analyze test data and reports to ensure they meet functional and performance specifications.
- Design analog and digital circuits.
- Perform modeling and simulation of devices, circuits, or systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering degree program.
- Ability to work in a lab environment to debug circuits.
- Proficiency with Windows-based platforms.
- Familiarity with CAD tools for schematics and simulation.
- Experience working with serial communication protocols, including UART, SPI, and I2C.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
