About the role#
Advanced Energy is hiring an Electrical Engineering intern for the Fall 2026 term. You will work with our engineering team in Fort Collins to support the development of power conversion and control solutions. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position for students pursuing graduate degrees.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development, testing, and debugging of prototype power supply units.
- Analyze test data to ensure it meets functional and performance specifications.
- Design analog and digital circuits.
- Develop and implement control algorithms.
- Coordinate with internal departments to hit cost and schedule targets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MS or Ph.D. program for Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Ability to work in a lab environment debugging circuits.
- Proficiency with Windows-based platforms.
- Familiarity with CAD tools for schematics and modeling.
- Experience with firmware programming for embedded systems.
- Ability to manage your own schedule and priorities without direct supervision.
