About the role#
As a Summer Analyst on the Product Specialist team, you will work at the intersection of AQR’s investment research and business development. You will act as a bridge between portfolio management teams and other functional areas, including marketing, legal, and trading. This 10-week program focuses on supporting senior specialists in managing and marketing firm products. You will gain exposure to how investment strategies are communicated and implemented for clients.
What you'll do#
- Draft written responses to client questions regarding investment philosophy, performance drivers, and portfolio characteristics.
- Create and refine presentations and collateral for new business pitches.
- Analyze portfolio performance using existing internal tools and contribute to building new ones.
- Perform custom portfolio analysis to answer specific questions from clients or senior investment professionals.
- Present your analysis results directly to product and portfolio teams.
What you'll need#
- You are a student graduating in December 2027 or Spring 2028 with a degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Data Science.
- You have strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
- You possess programming experience, with Python being highly preferred.
- You can communicate complex ideas effectively in both writing and speech.
- You have a high degree of intellectual curiosity and are detail-oriented.

- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
