About the role#
CSC is seeking a Tax Research & QA Intern to support our corporate and pass-through tax compliance solutions. You will work alongside tax and software professionals to learn how tax research, testing, and development integrate. This role is paid and full-time at 32 hours per week, running Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
What you'll do#
- Research changes to tax forms and interpret the regulations behind them.
- Document requirements for tax programmers based on your research.
- Design and execute test cases to verify the implementation of tax law changes.
- Create test scenarios for jurisdiction approval of tax forms.
- Test tax return calculations for accuracy, usability, and consistency.
- Contribute to technical explanations, release notes, and customer guidance.
- Use AI-assisted tools to support research and testing while verifying results against reliable sources.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Accounting, Tax, Information Technology, Management, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to review detailed requirements and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products, with a preference for experience in Excel formulas or data validation.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to adapt to changing project priorities.
- No prior professional experience in tax or software is required.

- This position is fully remote within the United States.
- The role is based out of Austin, Texas.
