About the role#
This is a full-time research internship focused on a study involving autonomous robots. You will assist older adults with dementia by deploying robots in their homes to support daily living activities. This position is supported by external sponsor funding.
What you'll do#
- Write new code to expand the existing software framework.
- Maintain current software systems.
- Visit participants' homes to deploy robots.
- Troubleshoot the system when issues arise.
- Collect and analyze data for dissemination.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's or master's degree in robotics or a related discipline, such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or Cybersecurity.
- Prior experience working with robotics.
- Knowledge of ROS2.
- Experience with large-scale robot software development.
- Field deployment experience is preferred.
