About the role#
As an Internal Audit Intern, you will work with the department team on assignments that support Signature Aviation businesses. Your work focuses on identifying and understanding financial and operational risks. You may also work on special projects involving data analytics and visualization to support risk identification.
What you'll do#
- Monitor management actions to ensure they address control and operational deficiencies.
- Develop audit reports for executive management that document deficiencies and suggest improvements.
- Assist with audits of financial statements and business operations.
- Help develop audit plans that identify key financial and operational risks.
- Prepare documents for presentation to various levels of management.
- Work on special assignments related to data analytics.
- Travel on a limited basis to job shadow other auditors.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an undergraduate or master's degree in accounting.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- An accounting GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Completion of at least 12 hours of accounting coursework.
- Familiarity with MS Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data analytics tools is highly desirable.
- Ability to apply creative thinking to improve internal processes, controls, and policies.
- Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to take direction and collaborate with global team members.
