About the role#
The Software Platform Intern will join the team to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of systems for customer missions. This role focuses on distributed automated platforms for compute, network, and storage infrastructure in high-performance environments. You will work on-site to help deliver custom automation services and contribute to solutions for aerospace and defense applications.
What you'll do#
- Support infrastructure and DevOps build and automation activities using programming and scripting languages including Ruby, Python, Go, PowerShell, and Java.
- Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of operations concepts, requirements, and systems engineering artifacts.
- Integrate multiple software and hardware subsystems to ensure seamless functionality.
- Utilize continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development processes.
- Apply engineering principles and theories to solve technical problems.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to achieve project goals.
- Leverage cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes for platform optimization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Experience applying basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
- Experience with cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued DoD: TS/SCI security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required to be eligible for the necessary security clearance.
