About the role#
As an Information Technology intern, you will gain hands-on experience by working on projects that build your technical and professional skills. You will work directly with business streams to introduce technology that supports energy operations. Throughout the summer, you will participate in coaching conversations with your manager and receive support from technical mentors. The internship concludes with a presentation to senior business leaders where you will share your project outcomes and insights.
What you'll do#
- Participate in continuous coaching conversations with your manager.
- Give a presentation at the end of the summer to senior business leaders.
- Adopt automation technologies to lower accident risks.
- Explore artificial intelligence solutions such as machine learning.
- Perform software engineering tasks, including code development for custom solution requirements.
- Engage in orientation events, weekly seminars, and networking opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics and Statistics, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
- Completion of more than 30 hours of college credit.
- An expected graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Availability for a minimum of ten continuous weeks.

- This is a paid, full-time internship based in Houston, Texas.
- The role is on-site for the Summer 2027 term.
