About the role#
Phillips 66 offers a summer internship for MBA students to gain hands-on experience through projects in areas like Treasury, Investment Appraisal, Business Development, Strategy, Investor Relations, and FP&A. You will work on real assignments that strengthen your financial competency and strategic thinking. The program includes field trips, seminars, and training focused on our segments: Midstream, Chemicals, Refining, Marketing and Specialties, and Renewable Fuels.
What you'll do#
- Present findings and recommendations to key decision makers.
- Recommend strategies to maximize shareholder return, such as capital allocation or dividend plans.
- Build financial models for long-term growth planning.
- Analyze corporate or counterparty risk and develop mitigation plans.
- Evaluate internal or external projects to support investment decisions.
- Lead a business unit process improvement effort.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA program with strong economic and financial analysis skills.
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Availability for at least ten continuous weeks.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Preferred: A minimum business school GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Preferred: An undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry.
- Preferred: At least five years of prior professional experience.
