About the role#
As a Health, Safety, and Environment intern, you will work on projects that build your technical and professional skills. The HSE organization supports our business facilities through regulatory compliance, advocacy, and education. You will focus on functional areas such as accident prevention, personal safety, process safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental conservation.
What you'll do#
- Consolidate functions in accident prevention and personal safety.
- Assist in developing plans, programs, and procedures that guide company policy and regulatory compliance.
- Review and analyze environmental regulatory requirements for specific projects.
- Perform technical calculations and manage databases.
- Prepare reports and applications for regulatory approvals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Sciences.
- Completion of at least 30 hours of college credit.
- Expected graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Ability to pursue your degree for the duration of the internship.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Willingness to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
- Ability to maintain a clean-shaven face daily to ensure a proper respirator seal, depending on the specific position.
